Working with Scott

From a recurring problem to a process your team can run.

Agree on the work, put it into practice, and leave ownership with your team. Explore the details below.

An evaluation can start before a failure

Look at what works—and what keeps it working.

We examine normal work, temporary fixes, handoffs, and exceptions. What happens when a key person is absent, information is missing, volume changes, or the system stops? The goal is to find weaknesses and worthwhile improvements before they become expensive surprises.

We prioritize the evidence and impact within an agreed scope. No evaluation can promise to find every issue.

A closer look at the work

One shorter path.
Thousands of repeated actions.

Small steps matter when they happen all day. This example comes from redesigning an order-handling route in my prior operating work. I bring the same questions to a customer request, an office task, or an invoice: where does work repeat, wait, or get handed off unnecessarily?

Selected non-packer workflowUp to 8

fewer physical touches per unit, estimated

Estimated range: 4–8 fewer touches, depending on the original route. This is a workflow estimate from prior operating experience, not a formal time study or a cash-savings figure.

The extra work was in the route.

The problem
Items were staged, handled again, searched for, rescanned, labeled, and moved through extra handoffs.
The change
A dedicated path brought picking, labeling, and loading closer together, with clearer handling and ownership.
What to measure in your operation
Touches per unit, elapsed time, errors, and actual expense changes—before and after the change.
Explore an opportunity in your process
The goal: your team can run it

A working improvement. A clear handoff.

A recommendation is only useful when people can put it into practice. We agree on the result, the work involved, and how we will know it is ready to hand over.

A process people can follow

Practical instructions for the everyday work, with clear steps for the exceptions.

People who know what to do

Training for the team, an owner for the process, and backup coverage agreed with you.

A way to check the result

Simple measures and a review of the changed process against the agreed acceptance criteria.

Ongoing support is your choice.

There is no required Wolfers Way support subscription. The project includes the support and handoff agreed in your scope. If you want help after that, we can agree on separate support—you decide what you need.

A savings-share payment plan, if selected, is a project fee arrangement. It does not require you to buy ongoing support. Any outside software or vendor costs are agreed separately.
The 4D Method

Understand it. Improve it. Put it to work.

01

Discover

Listen to you and your team. Watch how the work really happens.

02

Diagnose

Find the cause. Establish the starting point and what needs to change.

03

Design

Agree on the process, responsibilities, scope, and measures.

04

Deliver

Implement, test, train, and review readiness for the agreed handoff.

Start with one problem

A clear first step.
Room to decide.

You do not need a finished brief. Tell me what keeps getting in the way, and we’ll decide whether I’m the right person to help.

  1. 01

    Tell me what’s happening.

Send a short message. I’ll review it and follow up by email to arrange a conversation.

  2. 02

    Look at the work together.

Discuss the problem, what you want to change, and an evaluation scope. Meeting does not create a bill.

  3. 03

    Agree before you commit.

Confirm deliverables, timing, fees, and the handoff. The agreed evaluation fee is due when you hire me and credited 100% toward total fees.

Before we talk

A few things you may be wondering.

Can we start with one small problem?

Yes. A recurring error, repeated entry, shipping charge, or process that depends on one person can be a useful starting point. We define the work around the problem and agree on the scope before you hire me.

Will you help put the improvement in place?

Yes. The agreed work can include process changes, practical instructions, testing, team training, and a handoff to the person responsible for running it. Specialist software development or configuration is handled by the appropriate technical provider.

Do we have to keep paying for support?

No Wolfers Way support subscription is required. Any support after the included project period is optional and separately agreed. If you choose savings-share project payments, those follow the agreed payment term independently of support.

Do you work outside Kansas City?

Appropriate projects can be supported remotely throughout the United States. On-site work in the Kansas City metro and the project schedule are agreed before you commit.
